About the Author

My name is Clara. I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the Spring of 2011 with a BA in French and Francophone Studies, a minor in Cultural Anthropology, and three years of Modern Standard Arabic language study under my belt.

In the spring semester of 2010, I studied abroad in Rabat where I fell in love with the Moroccan culture and its people. Upon graduation, I knew I wanted to return to Rabat to continue learning as much as I could about the country, the languages, and the people who live here.

For the past two years, I have been living and working in Rabat. I have taken trips, met new friends, hosted old ones, improved my French and Arabic proficiency, and have learned something new everyday. These are my travel notes.

NOTE TO READERS: Previously, I updated a blog on Google’s blogspot, but have recently switched to WordPress. The content has not been deleted, so please feel free to continue checking it! However, all new content can be found here.
